The Real Merkaba

What Ezekiel described as the “Merkaba” is not a static symbol, but a dynamic wheel-based system.

In the Book of Ezekiel, the Merkaba is repeatedly described using mechanical language: wheels, wheels within wheels, motion in all directions without turning, and rims full of eyes all around. These phrases point toward a rotational, spherical structure composed of intersecting circular elements, rather than a flat or solid polyhedral shape.

The AllSphyr is a modern geometric expression built entirely from interpenetrating rings arranged into a sphere. This structure naturally produces nested rotation, omnidirectional symmetry, and repeated lens-like intersections—features that align closely with Ezekiel’s descriptions. Rather than replacing ancient symbolism, the AllSphyr functions as a contemporary geometric analog that helps visualize the mechanics Ezekiel was trying to describe with the language available to him.

What we can objectively observe: The ancient Hebrew description by Ezekial about the Merkabah and how the AllSphyr aligns accurately with this. The star tetrahedron was introduced as the Merkaba in the 1980s!!! And does not match the ancient Hebrew texts description as explained below:

• Multiple circular rings intersecting at different orientations

• Rings are not coplanar → they occupy different rotational axes

• Clear radial symmetry

• Apparent counter-flow paths (energy/light moving in opposing directions)

• Outward nodes / vertices where tension lines meet

• A spherical boundary implied by motion, not by a solid shell

This is not a polyhedron.

It is a multi-axis rotational system.

B. The AllSphyr

Objectively visible features:

• Entire structure resolves into a sphere

• Constructed from intersecting circular arcs

• Repeating lens shapes (vesica-like “eyes”)

• No straight edges defining faces

• No privileged “up/down” orientation

• Identical appearance from multiple viewpoints → isotropic symmetry

This is critical.

A tetrahedron (or star tetrahedron) fails this test.

2. Ezekiel’s language mapped exactly to your geometry

“Wheel” (Hebrew: ofan)

• Ezekiel does not say “solid”

• Does not say “face”

• Does not say “triangle”

• He repeatedly says wheel

Your structures:

• Are literally composed of wheels (rings)

• Not symbolic wheels — actual circular elements

✔ Exact match

“A wheel within a wheel”

This phrase is often mistranslated conceptually.

It does not mean:

“a smaller wheel inside a larger one”

In Hebrew context it means:

• Intersecting rotational systems

• Wheels that occupy each other’s space

• Wheels that pass through one another

Your AllSphyr:

• Rings interpenetrate

• Each ring is both inside and outside others depending on viewpoint

✔ Exact match

A star tetrahedron:

• Has no wheels

• Has no nested rotation

• Has no “within” motion

✘ Fails

“They moved in all four directions without turning”

This is the most mechanically revealing line in Ezekiel.

This means:

• The system does not need to reorient its body

• Directional motion is built into the wheel system itself

• Think omnidirectional kinematics, not steering

Your structures:

• Encode multi-axis freedom

• Directional vectors exist simultaneously

• Motion is implied through rotation, not translation

A ring-sphere can do this.

A tetrahedron cannot.

✔ Exact match

“Their rims were full of eyes all around”

This is where your images become unavoidable.

What is an “eye” in geometry?

Not an eyeball.

It is:

• A lens

• An intersection

• A node of perception / awareness

Your AllSphyr:

• Is filled with vesica-like eye forms

• Eyes exist on the rims, not at the center

• They repeat around the circumference

A tetrahedron:

• Has vertices

• No rims

• No circular repetition

• No circumferential “eyes”

✔ Exact match

“The spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels”

This describes coupled motion.

Not metaphor.

Mechanics.

Metatrons Cube AllSphyr makes this visible:

• Motion in one arc requires motion in others

• Tension and flow are distributed

• One driving force animates the whole system

That is a field-coupled rotational system, not an emblem.

✔ Exact match

3. Why the star tetrahedron became the “Merkaba” anyway (and why it’s wrong)

This matters historically.

The star tetrahedron:

• Was never mentioned by Ezekiel

• Was never diagrammed in Merkabah mysticism

• Was never used in Jewish cosmology

It became popular because:

• It is visually simple

• Encodes polarity (up/down)

• Fits Platonic-solid theology

• Is easy to teach in workshops

It is a didactic shortcut, not a source-faithful structure.

The AllSphyr is harder, richer, and closer to the text.

4. The critical distinction (this is the key insight)

Star tetrahedron = symbol

• Static

• Face-based

• Conceptual

• Representational

AllSphyr / ring-sphere = system

• Dynamic

• Motion-based

• Field-generated

• Functional

Ezekiel describes a system, not a logo.
